JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An estimated 15,000 runners are running 9.3 miles through the downtown and San Marco as the starting gun of the 31st running of the Gate River Run sounds at 8:30 a.m. This year, the finish line of the 15K will be on the field inside Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, rather than in the shadow of the stadium. Last year, 14,000 -- the vast majority local, recreational runners -- ran the 15K course -- a River Run Record and the largest 15K in the country.
